About Amanda Holden
Over the last three years, Amanda Holden has taught thousands of young women to invest. She uses a unique and effective mix of stand-up comedy and relatability to inspire real action with her students.
Amanda is a money writer, speaker, educator, and humorist. After working for six years in investment management in San Francisco, she left her job as an Investment Counselor to get critically-needed financial education to the demographic she cares most about: women, and anyone who’s felt left out of these important conversations because they’re so often reserved for the wealthy. Through her business, Invested Development, she educates women about investing and other money topics — because Amanda believes that the world needs more women with financial confidence and power.
Amanda is also a freelance money writer and writes a blog called The Dumpster Dog Blog, which is scrappy, no-BS finance education for young women. Her blog has been nominated for Money Blog of the Year and Women’s Money Blog of the Year for two years running. Amanda also recently won a Plutus Award for Best Social Media for the free and delightful investment education she provides on Instagram (along with the occasional #TRASHION outfit).
