Does this sound like you?

01 You’re doing everything right and still not getting recognized.

You’ve expanded your role, taken on more, made yourself indispensable — and somehow that’s worked against you. You’re the person everyone leans on, which means nobody’s asking what you actually need. You’re not looking for sympathy. You want to be seen accurately, compensated fairly, and given the room to lead at the level you’re already operating.

02 You’ve outgrown where you are, but you don’t know what’s next.

The job is fine. The paycheck is okay. But there’s a persistent sense of misalignment, like you’re wearing something that almost fits. You’re smart enough to know “just quit and figure it out” is bad advice. But you’re also running out of patience for staying put and calling it stability.

03 You have a rich, varied background and can’t figure out how to make it cohere.

Multiple industries, skills, certifications, identities — you light up talking about all of it and freeze when someone asks “so what do you do?” You’re not confused about your abilities. You’re confused about how to package them in a way the world will understand and actually pay for.

04 You’re trying to leave — and the search isn’t working.

Applications into a void. An interview that went well, then went quiet. A recruiter’s message you keep meaning to answer, because you’re not sure you could explain your own story yet if they called. And underneath it, the quieter fear: in this market, it feels safest to keep your head down — so you keep overperforming at the thing that already isn’t working.

05 You look fine from the outside. Inside, you’re running on empty.

Strong track record, people who respect you, a job that looks good on paper. But the ambition is still there and the energy isn’t. You second-guess yourself more than you used to. You’ve absorbed so much workplace stress for so long that you’ve genuinely lost touch with what you want.

06 You know what you want. You just can’t make yourself go after it.

The promotion, the pivot, the ask — the destination is clear but something keeps getting in the way. You call it fear, or perfectionism, or not enough time. But underneath it, some part of you doesn’t fully believe you’re allowed to want this. And that frustrates you more than anything else.

I felt like I was talking to a therapist, my best friend, and the baddest boss lady I know. She asked me questions I didn’t even know I should be answering and offered perspectives that I didn’t know I needed. The session was the most cathartic “a-ha moment” I’ve ever had, and even better, we came up with concrete steps to maintain that feeling.

— Emma C.

Here’s what this is actually costing you.

Not just money — though yes, every month you stay undervalued, underpriced, or underemployed is real dollars leaving your life.

And the math compounds. Every year you stay underpaid isn’t just that year’s money — it’s the baseline every future number gets negotiated from. A raise you don’t get at 35 follows you to 45. If you’ve been searching, the cost shows up as months of applying and interviewing with nothing to show for it — not because you’re not good enough, but because you’ve been going in without a case, a number, or a story that lands.

What this is really costing you is time. The years spent in the wrong role, the wrong environment, the wrong version of your career. The mental energy spent managing self-doubt instead of doing your best work. The opportunities you didn’t go after because you weren’t sure you were ready. The relationships strained by stress you brought home from a job that was never going to give you what you needed.

And underneath all of it: the slow erosion of trust in yourself. The longer you stay stuck, the more the stuckness starts to feel like evidence — that you’re not cut out for more, that you don’t know what you want, that maybe this is just what it is.

It isn’t. But it won’t change on its own.

Claire distills uncertainty into clear, actionable direction. She helped me see a path forward that feels grounded and aligned with who I’m meant to be. I now feel more confident in my abilities, more resolved in my direction, and far less inclined to measure my progress against others. Time spent with her feels less like friction and more like forward momentum.

Why my coaching works — and why it’s different.

Most career advice treats this as a strategy problem. Update your LinkedIn. Negotiate harder. Network more. That advice isn’t wrong. It’s just incomplete.

Because what I’ve seen, in thousands of hours of coaching, is that the thing standing between you and what you want usually isn’t a strategy gap. It’s a safety gap.

When you’ve spent years absorbing other people’s chaos, shrinking to fit environments that weren’t built for you, achieving your way through anxiety — your nervous system starts to interpret moving forward as a threat. You can know exactly what to do and still not be able to do it. That’s not a character flaw. That’s biology.

This is the part most coaches miss. I’ve built my entire practice around it.

My approach bridges what therapy often leaves out and what traditional coaching never goes deep enough to address. I bring in somatic tools, nervous system regulation, and Internal Family Systems-informed frameworks — alongside real, practical strategy. Because you can’t think your way out of patterns that live in your body. And you can’t heal your way into a new job without a concrete plan for getting there.

I built the whole engagement on one idea: treat your career like a business. I call it the LLC of Me. Your company is your customer. Your value is a product worth investing in. Once you start operating that way — auditing what your market actually rewards, building evidence of your impact, keeping real options open — the asking stops feeling like a favor and starts feeling like a transaction whose terms you understand.

And here’s what makes this different from every other coaching experience you may have had: I don’t just tell you what to do. Depending on what you need, I’m in the work with you. I may rewrite your LinkedIn profile, rebuild your resume, draft your website copy, write your sales outreach, create your networking templates, or build your business case document from scratch. The sessions are where we think together. The deliverables are where I roll up my sleeves and produce something real — so you’re never leaving a call with just a to-do list and no bandwidth to execute it.

Claire gave me the most honest, precise, practical coaching. In just one hour, I had so much clarity about how to move forward with my job search in a more empowered way. She gave me ways to support myself from a somatic level, lovingly called me out when I was using excuses, and helped me realize I was actually much farther along than I was giving myself credit for.

For the last decade, I’ve helped women expand their worth, inside and out. I founded Ladies Get Paid — a newsletter with 40,000 subscribers all learning to negotiate, advance, and stop waiting to be noticed — and wrote the book by the same name, published by Simon & Schuster. I’ve taught career strategy and negotiation at places like NASA, Harvard Business School, Meta, and the UN, and appeared as a guest expert on Good Morning America and in the New York Times. I hold a Master’s Certificate in Financial Psychology and Behavioral Finance as well as in Polyvagal Theory, the study of nervous system regulation. Because in order to advocate for more, you first need to believe you are worthy of it. (You are.)

But credentials only cover the strategy. Life taught me the other half. I bootstrapped my business to seven figures and watched it collapse in the pandemic. I was sued by men’s rights activists for helping women ask for more — and turned it into $116,000 in crowdfunding and a high-six-figure book deal. I’ve been on food stamps and I’ve made a million dollars, and in between I had to rebuild my relationship with money and my own worth from the studs. I came out at 30 and left my marriage. I sat in a hospital while my newborn son went into open-heart surgery. Every time life took something apart, I had to advocate for myself at the exact moment I felt least able to — which is precisely the skill I now teach.

I share all this because I know what it feels like to do everything right and still not get what you’re worth. And I know — from the research, from thousands of hours of coaching, and from my own life — what it actually takes to change that.

In one 30 minute session, she identified all the ways I could reach my goal. The amount of care, focus and detail that went into it was extraordinary, far surpassing any other coach I’ve worked with. I felt like she wanted me to be successful as if she was fighting for herself. What I got from the half hour meeting felt like it was beyond the value of the meeting itself.

How the 12 weeks work.

Twelve weekly private sessions over 90 days. We begin with a 90-minute diagnostic — every obstacle on the table, internal and external — and you’ll have spot coaching between sessions for the moments that can’t wait for our next call. Before Session 1 you’ll receive The Practice, a deck of daily nervous-system tools, so we start regulating from day one. The work moves through four stages:

01 Your self-trust foundation.

Most career programs start with your resume. We start with you: your values, your non-negotiables, your money target, what this season of your career actually requires. We name the patterns that have been running your career without your permission — because if you don’t know what you want, you’ll optimize for the wrong thing and still feel stuck once you get it.

02 Your market intelligence.

We put on the entrepreneur hat and figure out what your company actually rewards — what gets people promoted, what gets people paid, where the budget goes. Then we audit your work against it, honestly, and build a plan to close the gap — or find the clarity that this company isn’t where you’ll close it.

03 Your visibility and influence.

We find your edge and build the evidence to prove it: your case studies, quantified. How you show up in meetings, manage up, and build sponsors — and your LinkedIn and reputation beyond this company. We also run a parallel job search. Not because you’re definitely leaving, but because the woman who knows she has somewhere else to go negotiates completely differently than the woman waiting to be noticed.

04 Your ask & receive.

Everything has been building to this. Market research, your three-number framework, your scripts, every objection they might raise — prepared for every version of the conversation, whether that’s a promotion, a new offer, or both. We close with your next 90 days mapped, so you leave with an execution plan, not just inspiration.

You’ll leave with a complete document suite built for your situation, yours to keep: your Self-Trust Plan, Personal Value Proposition, Visibility Plan, Career Game Plan, Interview & Negotiation Playbook, and Your Next 90 Days — so you never start from scratch in any room again.

12 Weeks of Private Coaching

3 payments of $2,500

Twelve weekly sessions over 90 days, beginning with a 90-minute diagnostic. A personalized road map before we begin, real deliverables throughout — your LinkedIn, your business case, your outreach, built with you — and access to me for spot coaching in between. My two self-paced programs — the Pivot Pathfinder and the LLC of Me, both described below — are included at no additional cost. This is built for women inside organizations who are ready to work on the strategy and the stuff underneath it — and it returns multiples of what it costs: a promotion, a raise, or a better-paid role clears the fee, often in the first year.

My guarantee: I can’t control what your company decides. What I can guarantee is that by the end of our 12 weeks you’ll have the complete toolkit to make the ask — your case built, your number researched, your scripts ready, and your nervous system regulated enough to actually use them when it counts. And you will have made the ask. Not prepared for it. Made it.

I take on 20 private clients a year — a few at a time, so the work stays deep. Spots open as clients finish, and the fit call is where we find out if one of them should be yours.

“With Claire’s coaching, I negotiated confidently, secured an additional $20K in base and $5K in equity, and landed the role on terms I’m very happy with. I closed the process knowing I left nothing on the table — Claire’s guidance and expertise made all the difference.”

Questions, answered.

How does payment work?

Three monthly payments of $2,500, spread across our 90 days together.

I’m already job searching and it’s not going anywhere. Is this just for people trying to get promoted where they are?

Both, equally. A job search that isn’t converting is usually missing the same two things a stalled promotion is: a case that lands and the nerve to make it. We run your search alongside the internal work, so you’re building leverage on both fronts at once.

How is this different from therapy?

Therapy tends to look back to understand. We look forward to act. I use nervous-system and somatic tools the way a therapist might — always in service of a concrete outcome: the raise, the promotion, the offer. You leave every session with something to do, not only something to feel.

I’m slammed already. Is the time commitment realistic?

One weekly session plus spot coaching. And because I’m in the work with you — drafting, positioning, building — this takes work off your plate more than it adds.

What if I’m not sure I’m ready?

That’s usually the exact moment this work is for. Book the call — it isn’t a commitment, it’s a conversation.

What happens on the call?

It’s free, it’s 30 minutes, and I treat it like a real session — you’ll walk away with something useful regardless of what you decide. If we both feel the fit, I’ll send you a personalized road map of what our 12 weeks together would cover.
